The Role: Full-Time Home-Based Chat Support Agent
As a Full-Time Home-Based Chat Support Agent, you will join a distributed team of professionals delivering results in customer chat for our expanding client portfolio. Union Virtual Group built this position from the ground up to be beginner-accessible without being low-paying or temporary. Our onboarding process is efficient — most new hires are fully operational within their first week. You will work independently with the support of a structured workflow and a responsive virtual team. Performance is evaluated on the quality and consistency of your output, not the number of hours you are logged in. This is real remote work, not a placeholder gig.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Document every customer interaction in the client CRM with accurate, concise notes.
- Handle de-escalation situations calmly and professionally without supervisor involvement when possible.
- Adhere to approved messaging templates while adapting tone to each individual customer's situation.
- Escalate unresolvable issues to the appropriate internal contact with a full context summary.
- Identify patterns in customer feedback and surface them to the team lead for product improvement.
- Maintain a client satisfaction score consistent with or above the team benchmark.
- Stay current on all client product updates and policy changes through the internal knowledge hub.
- Submit an end-of-shift performance summary including total tickets, resolution rate, and CSAT.
Requirements
- Professional, clear written English — correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling under pressure.
- Typing accuracy of at least 45 WPM with the ability to maintain speed across multi-hour shifts.
- Ability to keep multiple browser tabs and chat windows open simultaneously without confusion.
- High self-discipline and output consistency without direct in-person supervision.
- Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week during a consistent shift schedule.
- US residency or work authorization required.
